Caddworks is a residential design and drafting service, providing creative home   design development and reliable permit drawings for custom homes, production   homes, additions and renovations. We provide our service to individual homeowners   as well as to home builders, renovation contractors and real estate developers. Our   team of residential designers and draftsmen are dedicated to making each project a   success, knowing that every project done well leads to our continued success through   referrals.

  Our design process begins by effectively communicating with our client. Obtaining a   clear understanding of the client’s design objectives and criteria is a vital starting point   for any project. Our systematic progression of simple design drawings that evolve into   more elaborate and detailed drawings is achieved by means of interactive design   meetings, sketching, and several stages of progress drawings generated utilizing   AutoCAD CAD software. Each step of the process involves our active listening and   careful interpretation of the client’s requirements, while incorporating many years of   experience in understanding homebuilding technology, conventions, codes and   standards.

  Many of our clients have purchased home plans from the internet or have assembled   photographs and examples of homes they admire portions of. Caddworks will refine   and/or mature these existing plan ideas into a set of house plans that incorporate all   the desired features and aesthetics while incorporating appropriate construction   methodologies, local building conventions, building code compliance, and desired   construction materials and products. Our licensed structural engineer consultant   assists us in assuring the structural integrity, constructability and code compliance of   your project.

  Caddworks is also continually developing its own home plan library, whereby a client   can save time, money and potential frustration by modifying a pre-designed set of   home plans; as opposed to starting “from scratch.”

  Our Addition and Renovation projects have ranged from simple porch or deck   additions, basement plans, kitchen renovations and garage additions, to whole house   renovations; including second story “pop-tops,” “extreme makeovers,” and historic   renovations.

  The geographical areas in Maryland that we service regularly are Frederick County,   Montgomery County, Washington County, Carroll County, Howard County, Anne Arundel   County, Baltimore County and Prince Georges County. We have also completed   several projects in Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. On rare   occasions we’ve had the opportunity to follow our clients to other states such as North   Carolina and even the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
